(Vienna, May 30, 2025) –
At the ÖBB Annual General Meeting today, Friday, the new members of the Supervisory Board of ÖBB Holding were appointed. This was necessary because the term of office of the previous Supervisory Board automatically expires after five years at the Annual General Meeting, which took place today. The eight shareholder representatives on the newly appointed board have proven management expertise. Some have been reappointed to their positions, but there are also new names and faces. Here are the newly appointed ladies and gentlemen in alphabetical order:
Elfriede Baumann was confirmed and thus extended. She is a former partner and managing director at the consultancy Ernst&Young and Chairwoman of the Board of the TU Wien Foundation.
Cornelia Breuß will remain on the committee; she is Head of Directorate General at the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure, responsible for mobility.
Brigitte Ederer was also reappointed to the Board. She had previously chaired the Supervisory Board. She is well known to the public as the long-standing CEO of Siemens Austria.
The CEO of the non-profit housing and real estate company bwsg, Mathias Moser, is a new member of the ÖBB Supervisory Board.
Swiss manager Nicolas Perrin is also joining the ÖBB Supervisory Board for the first time. He has held various positions at SBB since 1987 and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of SBB Cargo.
The CEO of packaging manufacturer Greiner Packaging, Beatrix Praeceptor, is also a new member of the Supervisory Board of ÖBB Holding.
Gerhard Starsich is another new face, he is General Director and member of the Management Board of Münze Österreich.
Peter Walder-Wintersteiner, who heads the cabinet at the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure and is a proven expert in railroad law, completes the ÖBB committee.

The ÖBB Works Council may delegate up to four members.
The first constituent meeting of the Supervisory Board will take place in the coming weeks, at which the Executive Committee will be elected. The term of office of the Supervisory Board runs for five years.
